Skottle Breakfast Fry-Up Recipe – Method
Pack 10 briquettes onto the coal grid inside your PotjieKing™ and place a couple fire lighters in the bottom section and get that going. Once the briquettes have turned grey / whitish, you are good to go. Place your Cast Iron Griddle plate onto the PotjieKing with the Skottel side up.
- Place a tablespoon of coconut oil in the skottel.
- Fry bacon and move to the side of the skottel when almost done.
- Add some extra oil if there isn’t enough fat in the skottel
- Salt and Pepper the tomato, as desired, and place on the skottel.
- Once you have turned the tomatoes, place the onion rings onto the skottle and break the eggs into the onion rings.
- This will keep them in place and stop the eggs from running all over.
- Cook your eggs to how you like them and serve when ready!
- Serve with crusty fresh bread or toast.
